Excellent piece! I'm thankful you brought it to my attention, and it seems particularly a pro pro in light of Tucker Carlson's interview regarding Nick Land.

Hello friend! Thought I’d drop a comment, you may enjoy my work!

I’ve been on here a week now and I’m trying to connect with others. I have a profound love of writing and reading,

I share a philosophical look at history written in antique books, what some call “alternative”

Jesus refers to himself as “the light and the way” as well as urging his followers not to hide their light but hold it aloft where others can see. Peter refers to Jesus as phosphorus in 2 Peter 1:19. The ESV translation reads:

“And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts,”

Here the Greek phosphoros is translated as Morning Star or “Light-Bringer” (Hêlêl in Hebrew, Lucifer in Latin). This “Morning Star” is traditionally said to be Venus as seen before dawn, but I intuitively imagine the rising sun as a morning star of sorts. Jesus is also identified with this same “Star of Morning” in Revelation 22:16:

“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.”

Jerome’s Latin Vulgate translation of Isaiah 14:12 (in which the fallen King Nebuchadnezzar II is described as Hêlêl ben Shahar, “Lucifer Son of the Morning”) would introduce capital L Lucifer, a character not appearing in the Hebrew Scriptures, causing much confusion and a definitive association with light bringers and Jesus. In Luke 10:18 Christ describes having seen Satan fall from the sky “like lightning” - a statement later twisted to manufacture the idea of the fall a rebellious character “Lucifer” before creation. This has led to Christians learning of a non-existent devil named Lucifer who curiously shares a lot of characteristics with their savior Christ, as if there is cognitive dissonance intentionally embedded in normative Christian paradigms.

Thanks to these curious mistranslations and centuries of misinformation when Christ arrives to a Jewish community his language and attributes have already been suggested to be like those of the devil, yet in the New Testament every mention of the Light Bringer / Morning Star is positive, and the only person identified with the morning star “Lucifer” is Christ.

Your reference to a fallen angel, by the name of a capital L “Lucifer” is a symptom of scriptural ignorance.

You have a fair amount of erudite knowledge with regards to the etymology and usage of such terms in scripture which is commendable. I will note that this work deals with greater esoteric and metaphysical relationships, more so than exoteric and dogmatic considerations on terminology. Therefore, such claims of "scriptural ignorance" do not apply here in this case, as speaking towards the scriptural designations and history of the Bible was not the aim of this piece. It is easier to accuse than it is to build others up, and this is why it is better to build up others. If one accuses then it is easier to find oneself accused. Peace be with you, brother.

In many Traditional faiths, it is ignorance par excellence, being the privation of knowledge, that is not only the cause of vice, the privation of virtue - being a vice in and of itself - but it is also the cause of transgression in general, due to not perceiving the proper orientation of oneself. It seems only natural that certain memetic impulses have such a tenebrous character, insofar as they channel these demonic conceptions and achieve these attitudes that predispose one towards transgression through ignorance. Therefore, memes seem to favor lesser state of intellectuality, or a lack thereof, by association.
